In Loving Memory of Nick Pope (1965–2026)

ParaHouse Magazine – Nick Pope Tribute Edition - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Pope, the former UK Ministry of Defence UFO UAP investigator, author, television personality on Ancient Aliens, and one of the most respected voices in the field of UAP research. Nick passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with stage 4 esophageal cancer.

Nick was more than a colleague or a source—he was a friend.

In 2019, we had the honor of flying him to Orlando for UFOCON, where he not only spoke but spent time at our home, sharing stories, laughter, and cold beers around the dining room table with a small group of guests. He was warm, witty, and genuinely kind—the kind of man who treated everyone with respect, whether they were seasoned researchers or newcomers to the phenomenon.

His work at the UK Ministry of Defence (1991–1994) gave him unique insight into how governments handle UAP reports. He approached the subject with rigor, skepticism, and an open mind, famously stating that “UFOs are real, but not hostile invaders.” Nick became a bridge between official channels and public discourse, appearing on Ancient Aliens and countless other platforms, always advocating for serious, evidence-based inquiry rather than fear or dismissal.

For our Nick Pope Tribute Edition of ParaHouse Magazine, we collaborated closely with him on content that celebrated his life’s work.

This limited special edition, which just went to print, includes his career highlights, personal reflections, personal photos of Melisa and Nick from UFOCon Orlando and more.

It was an honor to feature him so prominently and to list him as a contributor and friend.

Nick’s legacy is one of integrity. He pushed for transparency without sensationalism. He treated the phenomenon with the seriousness it deserves. He reminded us that the truth is worth pursuing, even when powerful institutions prefer silence.

To his wife Elizabeth, his family, and all who knew and loved him—we send our deepest condolences. The UFO/UAP community has lost a giant, but his work and his example will continue to inspire.

Rest in peace, Nick.

Thank you for the laughter, the insight, and the beers we shared at my house.

You will be missed.
